Boarders Without Borders
Our lucky incoming boarders have recently received their College laptops as part of our Boarding Orientation, so they can familiarise themselves with their device over the summer holidays. They’re also taking part in a new program called Boarders without Borders, run by our wonderful Library staff.
Head of Library, Amanda Crossley said, “Boarders without Borders is about our incoming Boarding students connecting with each other, no matter the distance. The program is a series of virtual lessons where the incoming boarders will get to know each other in a virtual environment. Students are assigned a Connect Pod and each Pod is assigned a Library staff member who runs a series of fun ‘getting to know you’ activities online.”
Our incoming boarders have embraced this digital environment, with one boarder thanking her new friends in our virtual conversation, “All of you are so nice and I am looking forward to being a boarder with you next year”.
It’s great to see our new boarders already connecting with each other!
What A Term! So Many Opportunities – Jennifer Oaten
As I look back on the past nine weeks, I am so grateful for who we are as a community and what we have achieved. Through the dedication of our staff and the enthusiasm of our students, we have established new connections, immersed ourselves in opportunities and worked through challenges.
