Congratulations Tenille!

Congratulations to Year 5 student Tenille Pretorius, who recently competed in the WA Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship. Tenille was awarded bronze medals for her hoop, club and freehand routines and an overall All-Around Bronze medal in the Championship. Her team also won overall Silver, which was a superb achievement.

Tenille has subsequently qualified and been selected to compete in the WA Sub-Junior Individual Competition stream in 2019.

Prior to coming to Australia at the beginning of this year, Tenille was a National Artistic Gymnast in South Africa. She has only been involved in rhythmic gymnastics since arriving in Perth at the start of this year.

Tenille currently trains with Krasi Yurukova at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy in Leederville.

We asked Tenille what she loves about Rhythmic Gymnastics: “I love to combine the gymnastics and dancing elements whilst learning new skills with apparatus I’ve never used before”.
