Health Week 2020

This week was Health Week at the College! The Health & Physical Education Department ran a variety of activities for staff and students throughout the week. From ‘Konga on the Common’, which saw many students join a dance exercise class at lunch, to yoga before school, to trying out the indoor climbing wall, there was a lot happening!

A big highlight of the week was the Health Expo, run on Tuesday by the Year 10 students. There were some amazing stalls on display and the girls presented some fantastic health information on a variety of topics to staff and students throughout the day.

The other big event of the week was RU OK? Day on Thursday. Our student Mental Health Ambassadors did a great job bringing awareness to the school of this national day of action, where we check in on our friends and ask ‘RU OK?’. There were lots of fun activities on the oval at lunchtime and the girls enjoyed bringing along a friend on the day to have a go.

It has been a big week of activities and it was great to see lots of people getting involved and thinking about different aspects of their health!
