A group of student leaders from Santa Maria attended an inaugural event hosted by Crimson Education at the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club recently. The aim of the evening was to offer students an opportunity to interact with industry professionals to develop leadership capabilities and encourage exploration of future endeavours. Networking is an important career-based skill and the students felt like it was a valuable experience to mix with some well-regarded leaders in industry. “Crimson’s event was a useful outlet to gain advice from several industry professionals on how to forge a successful career both in specific industries and for the workforce in general. With industry professionals in an array of fields, from Architectural Marketing to Business Journalism, it showed me that there are so many different jobs available, numerous of which I didn’t know existed before the event and has given me even more future career paths to consider.“ Arianne Toledo, Year 12
