Santa Maria was a sea of purple this week as the College celebrated Purple Bra Day. Staff and students dressed in purple, the College was adorned with purple streamers and purple cupcakes were sold at recess in the Purple Bra Day cake stall.
The aim of this day is to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer. Over the last five years, the College has raised over $15,000 for Breast Cancer Care, WA. Since the College has been running the Purple Bra Day campaign, each year we have been awarded Top Fundraising School in WA for the cause.
Breast Cancer Care WA provides emotional, practical and financial support and care to people affected by breast cancer. The organisation receives no government funding, so our donations are important in helping them to provide a range of services, free of charge.
