Marsha Pengilly, Dean of Students said, “It was lovely to commission the new Year 7 leaders this week. It was very pleasing that so many of the Year 7 students put themselves forward to be leaders and the voting in each of the Homerooms was very close. I congratulate all year 7 girls who nominated for leadership and trust that the new leaders will represent the year group well.”

Jennifer Oaten, Principal added “Catherine McAuley, our foundress demonstrated great leadership skills through her service, her compassion for others, and her commitment to action. She encouraged others to find unknown strengths and capabilities in themselves, and during challenging times she turned to her faith. I hope Catherine will serve as a role model for our new leaders.

“There are 4 characteristics I hope you will show as leaders

  1. Respect everyone
  2. Make sure every voice is heard
  3. Do what is right and make good decisions
  4. Take action

“Best wishes to our new leaders. I know you will work together to make our College an even better place.”
